I spoke with him when he received it and he was like a kid in a sweet shop. Ray’s a great person and it was long overdue.
Ray played twice for his country, the rules at that time were that a player had to play twice for his country in one season to receive a cap. Unfortunately, his appearances were in consecutive seasons. A right has been wronged. Well done the Past Players Association (in particular Keith Such) who have really fought for this.
