Look a shadow of last three season's hope we don't go the same way

Lost a few players in the off season, Luai included. Injuries to Cleary and Edward’s hasn’t helped.

They will always produce more players and i still expect them to get to the playoffs

Heh! Someone was just saying on an Aussie forum, should we write Penrith off? I said, nope! :D They are missing Luai, what side wouldn't? But they'll cope.

Well, I thought that, but they looked a bit of a shambles today.

Can’t see them recovering this season tbh I know it’s early doors but they’re a shadow of the team they where.

This is one of the reasons why I’m not keen on a salary cap for me if a team comes through it should be up to other teams to get their act together and chase the dominant team it’s not right the players have to be sold it makes it,for want of a better word artificial

The SC is so much higher in the NRL though, I don't think Penrith blame it for their recent form. I'm sure they could go out and buy more players, but they have lost a lot of quality in the last couple of years, and to some extent, you could argue, have replaced them with journeymen.
