The most ill-disciplined and error-strewn sides in Super League so far
THE 2025 Super League season will be heading towards Round Nine this weekend with Hull KR leading the way at the top of the table and Huddersfield Giants propping up the bottom.
Already, we have seen a fair share of red and yellow cards – though not as many as this time last year – but two clubs are still yet to have been show one of either colour.
Those two sides are Warrington Wolves and Leigh Leopards, whilst Hull KR, Wakefield Trinity, St Helens and Huddersfield Giants have all received just one yellow card.
Castleford Tigers and Catalans Dragons have both received three yellow cards, with Wigan Warriors on four yellows along with Leeds Rhinos and Salford Red Devils.
But, out in front with one red card and five yellows are Hull FC.
In terms of errors, Wakefield top the count with a gargantuan 91, with Warrington on 83 and Catalans on 82.
Leeds, Salford and Huddersfield are all, remarkably, tied with 75 errors apiece whilst Hull KR have made 73 and cross-city rivals Hull FC 72.
St Helens have also made 72 errors so far this Super League season, with Leigh on 70 and Wigan and Castleford on 65 alike.

Re: The most ill-disciplined and error-strewn sides in Super League so far
All 76 Super League players that have received penalty points so far during the 2025 season
THE RFL introduced a points-based system in a radical overhaul of the disciplinary for the 2025 season.
The new system will only see players sanctioned when they reach a certain number of points, with charge grades now allocated points which players will accumulate and keep on their record for twelve months.
Points are allocated as followed:
Grade A – 1 point
Grade B – 3 points
Grade C – 5 points
Grade D – 12 points
Grade E – Refer to Tribunal
Here is the tariff for the points:
0-2 No further action
3-5 Fine
6-8 1 match suspension
9-11 1 match suspension and a fine
12-14 2 match suspension
15-17 2 match suspension and a fine
18-20 3 match suspension
21-23 3 match suspension and a fine
24-26 4 match suspension
27-29 4 match suspension and a fine
30-32 5 match suspension
33-35 5 match suspension and a fine
36-38 6 match suspension and a fine
39-41 7 match suspension and a fine
42-44 8 match suspension and a fine
45-47 9 match suspension and a fine
48-50 10 match suspension and a fine
51-53 11 match suspension and a fine
54+ 12 match suspension plus and a fine
However, when an offence adds points to a player’s record that leads to the player receiving a sanction – either a fine or a suspension – the number of points added to their record for that offence will be reduced by 50%.
This is to recognise that the player has previously served a sanction however there remains a percentage of points on the player’s record to acknowledge that they have committed previous misconduct.

Re: The most ill-disciplined and error-strewn sides in Super League so far
I’m confused!!
When I was at school many many years ago maths wasn’t a topic I liked or was much good at but …. I still knew how to count as we had to use our brains there wasn’t calculators then, an abacas maybe
But those totals, to me anyway, do not make sense. Can anyone explain them please?
Just take Wigan Warriors for example.
I’m very confused, is anyone else?

That total, to me anyway is 14. So how does it say 6?Wigan Warriors – 6

strange quote, when KR have 10 players on points, but they refer to Catalan with 9josie andrews wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 10:42 am [b

i commented on a post a few weeks ago, that the tackle from Innes Senior certainly didnt warrant the number of points he got, then you see things go virtually unpunished this weekend

Re: The most ill-disciplined and error-strewn sides in Super League so far
one thing i'd say generally is that it appears that there have been less players missing due to bans that have been dished out, however, we are still in the early part of the season, and i have a feeling that the back end could be disrupted as the points start to add up
For Wigan, Keighran and Dupree one indiscretion away from a ban, although Dupree needs to be grade B
This is one of the things that is certainly going to be worth monitoring on an ongoing basis, and could have a massive impact if a player keeps picking up 1 point for minor offences. If we take Faz at weekend, no-one has any idea what that was for, but he's been done for a late hit, and 1 point, but Mbye, hits someone in the head, and gets 1 point for a different challenge?

Re: The most ill-disciplined and error-strewn sides in Super League so far
i think there are a few players / teams we could question how they have so few players on points or a players actual points
referring back to the post from NickyKiss about penalties, Wigan have received and conceded the least, but we have had 4 players receive yellow cards, so the stats dont appear to stack up, Clubs conceding lots more penalties on a weekly basis, but not yellow cards, so they are either just giving away niggly penalties or as NK alludes to, our games are being looked at differently??
