Plus Eckersley can kick, he’d just need to up his training, perhaps a kicking coach as we’ve done before for players.NICKYKISS wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 9:48 am Hopefully he does stay on. While I'd be happy enough with Eckersley getting a starting shirt in 2026 if Keighran left, I think that would leave us needing to make a signing to cover centre because I'm not convinced the young lad from Saints (Sambou) is ready for that responsibility and I see Vaughan as a second rower personally.
Keighran to do at least another year, with Eckersley as the player you'd use to back centre/wing would be the ideal scenario IMO.
Reading between the lines it would appear that Adam, and his family, would like to stay longer.NICKYKISS wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 9:48 am Hopefully he does stay on. From what little I’ve seen of Sambou he’s as raw as raw can be but time will tell as for Keighran after a shaky start he’s becoming one of those players that’s really missed when he’s not starting, not only for his goal kicking either lets hope he staysNICKYKISS wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 9:48 am Hopefully he does stay on. Sambou and Vaughan are both project signings. I think the coaches have seen something in both of them that they like.fozzie58 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 12:47 pmFrom what little I’ve seen of Sambou he’s as raw as raw can be but time will tell as for Keighran after a shaky start he’s becoming one of those players that’s really missed when he’s not starting, not only for his goal kicking either lets hope he staysNICKYKISS wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 9:48 am Hopefully he does stay on.
