Gareth Hock

Could Gareth Hock return against Leeds on Friday, he suffered a stress fracture in early January and stress fractures usually take about 6 weeks to heal so he should be back in training by now.

I know that Hock has not been named in the 20 man squad but under the RFL rules a club is allowed to choose from a Maximum of 20 player with only 19 player in our 20 man squad Wigan could add Hock to the team at any time.

Is Hock the boost Wigan need after the defeat to Les Catalan?

I think Ian is taking his time with both Hock and Fletcher. In an interview last week, Milward said that Hock is still another four weeks away from full fitness, and Fletcher over 8 weeks away. For once we seem to have some good cover in this department with the likes of Tickle, hansen and Tompkins, who are all worthy players, so i think Hock will not be rushed back too soon.

I think that it would be a big mistake to risk Hock - he hasn't played for a long time, is just getting over a serious injury and playing the defeated finalists from both competitions last year is hardly the sort of game he needs to get back in the swing of things. If possible he would be better off having a warm up with the academy - he is still a long way from being match fit.

Whilst I will be shouting as always; I realistically can't see us winning after last weeks performance. Obviously nothing would make me happier than to be proved wrong...

There's no point rushing him back if he's not fit. This is a game Wigan will lose anyway so they are on a hiding to nothing. I'd say give him the extra weel to recover.
I dont believe you have said that, you are judging us off one match.
No I'm judging from seasons upon seasons.
Come on Doug, Give the guys a break everyone knows they also had to beat ashley clown last week, I would not read too deeply into that game, I think we are in for a win on friday, Don't forget the Whinos did'nt play too well last week, It's the start of the season you know?

Glad to see we're getting behind the team!
wonder if that will be Millwards pre match talk to the team"don't worry lads, we're going to lose anyway".
Remember Murrayfield? Remember the dying seconds against the Bulls as Rads went in? Remember being written off against Stains at the JJB Good Friday (or was it Easter Monday) last year?

I could understand it more if we was 10 games into the seaon and had loads of injuries and had kids in but we dont we have a near strength team in and only played 1 game
I know.
No doubt these are the same people that shuffle off 5 minutes before the end of the match.
Can't understand why they turn up if we're going to lose :doz:

Come on, Doug. Surely you have realised by now that most readers on here simply want to talk about getting behind the lads, bringing streamers to the game, predicting the size of our victory every week, slagging off the entire compliment of Superleague refs, etc, etc. No wonder you (and I!) are so unpopular.
