Scum in the South Stand

I feel I must say that in 13 years of following Wigan, home and away, I have just come away from the most horrible 80 minutes in all my time of watching them.
The 'supporters' occupying the back 10 rows in the centre of the south stand were the most ignorant, foul mouthed, abusive, childish and pathetic I have ever seen.
Every word from their narrow minded mouths was either physically, sexually or RACIST abuse. This was not only directed to the Leeds fans however and myself and my family were subjected to a threat of violence - seemingly because I was not wearing my Wigan shirt and not joining in the pathetic, non stop, pointless, childish abuse.
Im sorry, but if you believe you are supporting the team then you are sadly mistaken.
Rugby League is a family game - played by men.
I wont be taking my family again - it was a disgrace and for the first time I have to say I am embarrased to support the club I love.

Try not let a small minority prevent you coming to the JJB.
There is no excuse for this type of behaviour and I am in no way condoning it.
Why not speak to the club and let your feelings be known to them, as if it's not reported it will never be stopped.

Sorry to say it, but there was plenty of swearing and abuse being shouted in the East stand near us, the family game 'tag' is now a thing of the past, last seasons home game against Warrington was disgusting.
Also, the behaviour of some of the Wigan/Leeds fans after the game was abismal. Fighting, swearing and 2 Leeds fans urinating near the Arena was the last straw !

im sorry for you and your family you shouldnt have to listen to or put up with that thoose small minded idiots spoil it for everyone else they should be banned for life before all league supporters are tarred with the same brush as football yobs

I go in the South Stand. Simple solution, I never sit near them. I never hear them. It's the easiest thing to do.

It is that simple move seats its not reserved so sit lower down away from them or more to the side

I sit fairly close to this group of people at the back of South Stand, purely because I like the view that me and my friend get from the seats we sit in, week-in week-out.
The majority of South Stand fans are all right people. It's just a minority who have to act like morons and ruin it with that kind of behaviour.

So thats the answer to the problem. Dont sit near them.
That is NOT an answer to idiotic, mindless behaviour.
If you wish to condone these people you can , for me that makes you equally ignorant as them.
Pathetic.

i think that is a reasonable suggestion and thats why i dont sit right in the centre were them lot are.
