PHIL BENTHAM!

This guy is just as bad as Karl Kirkpatrick, the other Warrington based muppet. With Saints v Leeds, Ashley Klein had a stinker.

It's a close contest for the muppet of the year, between Bentham and Klein. After tonight, I'd probably just about give it to Bentham.

On the actual game, Wigan were running riot in the first 45 minutes, and then, thanks to some dubious penatlies from one Mr Bentham, Huddersfield are allowed to back into the game.

He had a very good and fair first half it was only the second half that left much to be desired

he was bad but not to blame for our very poor second half.

He was good first half - keeping a good 10 yards which is unusual, but this was shrinking throughout the second half along with a terrible and inexplicable penalty count.

I really do believe the keeping the score down theory, though the succession of penalties given last week to help Leeds with their second try were misguided. We'd let the game slip by then anyway.

Thought bentham did OK. Gave penalties that stopped Huuds spoiling tactics several times and sin-binned the player which was a correct decsion.

Fell for a few bits of "professionalism" from Hudds, mainly Reilly who milked at least two penalties but other than that I thought he was the best we have had this season.

I agree, Dave...I'd like him to be a bit more consistent in when he thinks a tackle is complete though.
