It wouldn't be a wasted journey, Salford's a top night out even if there's no rugby. Lots of cars to steal, houses to break into, passers-by to swear at or beat up...

More sensibly, isn't it ironic that we were a winter sport for 100 years and nowadays whenever someone mentions the possibility of snow people get worried...!

I can't remember any Super League match being postponed because of weather, although I do remember a Wigan match against London a while ago which should have been because there was pools of water all over the pitch.

You'd be better asking if there has been snow in Salford! But the answer is no, unless the two miles or so between where I am and the edge of Salford has a different climate. Snow in the central Manchester/Salford areas is very rare.

Not sure, but the Willows was obviously used in the days of winter rugby so whatever provisions were used in the past to protect against this weather should still be in place.

There was an away match at Halifax in, maybe 2001?, which turned into a complete mudbath because of the weather with heavy storms before the game. I seem to remember that despite the weather and the fact both teams were playing in brown colours, that our ball handling was still superb and we scored some decent tries. A shame our players couldn't manage that in the 2nd half last week...!

O aye it was definitely cold but it nice and sunny looking! I'm from Hawkley Hall home of MikeBinder and the gang, it hasn't looked like snowing anyway. Those weather people lie.
