SITE RULES?

Is it possible to set up some basic site rules?
1. Only RL related topics to be posted.
2. Minimised text abbreviation.

Perhaps the moderators could set up some sort of 3 strikes and you're out system so as to prevent people persistantly posting messages about non RL topics or typing msgs dat meen nufink 2 da avg usr coz we cnt ndrstnd dem.
3 repeat offences and remove or block their access.
Even better, yellow card gives them a 10 hour sin bin followed by a red if continued thereafter!!!!

We do have rules, although trying to enforce them all the time is difficult because we've all got lives off this site and so aren't logged in all the time (although I know sometimes it seems that we are...). Basically we will edit or delete any message which is insulting, contains too much bad language, is a deliberate attempt at trolling just to wind people up (both fans of other clubs coming to provoke a reaction, or ranting against the blue half of Wigan from people on here as that will just attract the former). I try heard to remind people that txtspk is not welcome, whilst off-topic messages are not too common although we might step in if things get too random.

In a Chinese restaurant having a nice meal, looking at the time (9pm-ish on Tuesday).

I didn't see the thread until 10am the following morning, and reminded everyone of the potential legal issues if the topic got too detailed. The thread pretty much died a death after my couple of messages, which I think was the best thing. As I say, we moderators have got a bit of a life off here you know!

i think a fair rule would be to block any post and i mean any post that is not RL related. if its about the latics.......block it. if its about were your going on holiday.......block it. if its about what kind of sandwitch you had for your dinner.......block it. only rugby league related posts should be posted. end of.

There should be a rule that you can't lay down the law until you've got over 2500 posts!

I had to have a quick check then, phew I'm 64 posts over!
