Got to say Millward has to shoulder some of the burden. His decision to start prescott over Tickle was strange, as was his use of Godwin mentioned elsewhere.
Also, our scrums had me puzzled too. For Cas's first scrum Brown packed down, but not for the second.
Overall, though the players are more to blame than Millward IMO. Reading down the team sheet we have enough ability to make a game of it against Cas even if we had no coach, but there is simply no spark.
My thought for the rest of the season now are just to try and win 8 from the last 22 and see if that saves us.

Whealen doesn't really care about rugby anyway so he won't sack Millward. Lindsey won't sack Millward because there is no one to replace him.
Looks like Millward is safe in his job and thus can do what ever the hell he likes.

I've got a mod league coaching badge!!! And I couldn't make it any worse than the loud mouthed Aussie has.
I know coaches in the junior game that could do a better job than Millward has done so far.
It's simple Milly: shape up or ship out!!!

It's only partly Millwards fault because he is not the one who is missing the tackles and dropping the ball. Some of the players are just not give 100% and Millward can't force them to, he drop them etc but in the end it's the player who have to perform on the pitch. Our forwards are very young and there is only so much they can do, basically Millward hasn't got the right players to make the right team (more due to Lindsey than Millward)
On the other hand Millward is trying to get Wigan to play the game that he wants instead of a game that will work.
Millward likes players to do flat passes and attack in a certain way which isn't the way that the Wigan players play.
All players have a natural way of playing and Millward was of playing conflicts with that and it just makes Wigan look terrible.
My example would be Denis Moran, great player for London, but his natural game is as a support player not as a play maker. Millward tries to make him a play maker and it doesn't work that is why a lot of his passes are intercepted or go behind players etc.
At the end of last season Millward got Orr and Moran playing well and Wigan winning with no forward so there is no reason why he can't do that again.
If Millward is a good coach then he will realise that maybe it's not the team that has to adapt to his way of playing he has to adapt to their way of playing. He has to find the player strong points and build his team around that and not try to force players to play in certain ways.

Maybe but at least I’m actually looking at the why Wigan are playing, looking at the player we have and the coaching staff and coming you with explanations for the poor performances instead of just going "Sack the coach", "Sack the players" blah blah blah.
I spend a lot of my time watching Rugby League and assessing how teams and players play so this isn't exactly form the bar room more like an intelligent look into the problems at Wigan. It might not be right but at least I don’t lose faith in everything when things start going wrong.
