grrrr@ fans of minor teams

iv been wearing my new away shirt with pride at work today, and i got ripped to pieces (attmepted) by some weirdo who turned out to be a leigh fan. Ok...so...someone please explain to me, WHY?! How long has it taken leigh to get anywhere near a league table? Ok, so i live near leigh so im prob supporting the wrong team...but..jeez.
And then last week i got a little 8 yr old cocky kid coming up to me in the bowling place proudly (or foolishly, delete as appropriate) showing off his shirt. wouldnt have minded if it was decent....but it was a SALFORD one. Do these ppl not get it?!
ok, il leave this now before i slag off any more teams and get booted off here.

I know what u mean last year when we played leigh i was at my mates house a couple of days before the game coz he'd just moved in and was having a barbie. Anyway this guy outside B&Q in leigh were i was at the time looked at me and said to his son "that lads got some shit on his back"( I had me wigan shirt on) well i anit no lad, and if his son hadnt have been with him i'd a smacked the little fat S"£"E's head off. So all i could replie with was "mmm northern ford premiership mmmmmm good division that one" and i gave him a wink. he just walked off.
Now im no thug or anything but the way he looked me up and down and said it just really pissed me off.

They are very proud of their team. There's a guy who goes to the same gym as me here in Manchester and he's a Salford fan, always making sure I know what his team are up to. I suppose they have had some success against Wigan in recent years, in between some thrashings, so I can understand them wanting to having a bit of a dig at Wigan fans.
As for the Lobbygobblers, they are just jealous and frustrated, what with Leigh's repeated inability to get promoted. Little people, but then we all know Leigh is just a small part in Wigan...
