I think after Hansen and Logan were injured Millward decided he needed extra numbers in the pack and he has signed a player that will do the job he asks him to do. It's arguably better than signing a player that has never worked with Millward before?

Of all the things Millward has done in recent weeks as regards the team this is the least controversial in my opinion.

What is he supposed to do? We have gone form having a (supposedly) awesome pack down to bare bones in two weeks due to injury.

He needed a loan player as would any coach in this situation and has found one whom I assume he considers the best available from the limited choice that there is. Just who is he supposed to sign as cover?

The fact he comes from Salford is irrelevant in my opinion. Guissett came from RU and Ian Graham (remember him?) came from being out of favour in the NRL. You don't pick up first team standard SL players on loan once the season has started.

Jonkers is supposed to be a tackling machine so that is a plus point from my point of view because our defence is awful.

Why is this being blamed on Mo again now? Wasn't it clear from press statements of recent months that Milly is making all choices at our club these days. He has taken over. Maybe he should take one thing at a time, get the team playing rugby of some sort before taking over the whole of Wigan RL and ruining us.

Nick Graham, not Ian Graham. But anyway, I'm happier with Jonkers than with Millward's first choice, the useless Keith Mason. We can only get the players who are available, there aren't really many Quentin Pongia's out there, although I suppose there may be the likes of John Hopoate or Anthony Mundine...

Surely Millward's first choice was the useless Micky Higham?
