That was my thought...but he and I.M. are supposed to be mates from the Illawarra days.

I'm delighted to see John Pendlebury back at the club. I was always a fan of his as a player and clearly he knows a thing or two about coaching.

If this is the exit for Farrar that people are predicting then, whatever slim chance we did have of signing Barrett, I mean if we survive would he really want to come to a bottom club in SL...well anyway, all hope of Barret will be well and truly gone.
If that is true pay Farrar to sit at home and keep his nouthg shut in Barrett is signed! Or rather give Farrar a none-job at the club.

He may sign for a club that offers him the most but he won't sign for that club if they are only just avoiding relegation.
What does he know of relegation? He comes from a competition that has teams getting the wooden spoon one season and getting to Grand Finals the next.

What you did one season in the NRL is no indicator of where you will finish next and provided we so avoid relegation I don't see yet another poor season as an obstacle to signing overseas players.

Player rosters change radically in the NR every year. It is accepted players move on and players move from Grand Final winning sides almost as a matter of course. Look at Richards.

Relegation and league position may put off UK players a bit but even they will look at the squad (and the money!) and decide what to do in a level headed way weighing the pros and cons of joining or not. It is all port of the professional aspect of the game.

Very appropriate, considering most of our forwards only have one leg at present.
