There I am reading in the press that Paul Wellens has a fractured eye socket and cheekbone , I turn on the tele to watch the Hull game in silence, or at least Bulls v Wigan on radio Leeds and lo and behold there is Wellens playing, what a medical staff :exc:

they have always had the best medical staff just think back to the bradford farce the week before challenge cup final. Full team injured and all fit the week later. But also heard that doctors had said any type of contact could seriously damage wellens but hes only a number in the clubs eyes.

Let me explain, fractured cheekbone can cause a raise in occular pressure due to swelling which can lead to somethind known as papilloedema and visaul loss. Doctors always overestimate for legal reason and say that it will take for example 4 instead of 2 weeks. What usually happens is the player decides to play but as long as the doctor has covered himslef its ok.

weird that i shattered my eye socket when i played and it took me four week before i went in for a opperation on it to get a plate inserted to lift my eye before the opp i had double vision so i can only think that wellens wasnt as bad as they first thought
