O'Loughlin

Where do people think he is best suited? I know I have criticised his performances on this board but where do the rest of you think he is best suited? I personally think he lacks that something special that will make him succeed. I hope I am wrong and i hope the lad goes on to prove me wrong. For me O'Loughlin lacks the pace that could compensate for his lack of a natural passing game both of which you can never coach or learn and if he develops the size as some hope then his pace is going to suffer even more. With a good few years left on Farell at the back of the pack and iv heard rumours of someone who does appear to have that natural complete special stand off qualities coming through in the next few years where does everyone think he is best suited? In theory when Faz returns we could bump him forward into the second row and play Sean there but id much rather see Hock in that role as he has impressed me this season.

Where is he best suited? Too early to tell.

At the end of last season he looked a good prospect at loose forward. Gone backwards a bit this season but that is hardly surprising under the circumstances.

Next season it could be Hock's turn for his form to drop off and O'Loughlin could be on the up again.

I think a lot depends on how he develops physically. If he puts on weight and bulks up he must find a slot in the pack or maybe even the centres.

Although not the fastest around that can be impoved on a bit if he is coached in how to run.

Hopefully as O'Loughlin and the other youngsters progress into more mature players, strength conditioning will play a major part of their training regime. I'm hoping this because for a top flight team I personnaly feel this is an area in which we are lacking. I can't be too acurate as I don't know the actual stats on these guys but they all look slightly on the light side. If I had to single out any individuals i'd say Danny Sculthorpe and Ricky Bibey are the strongest looking of the younger section. I hope the rest strengthen up over the next two or so years.
