I have just read that Hull have signed yet another over seas player Dean Treister, how many can Hull have they already have BEST,BARNETT,KOHE LOVE,CROWTHER,GREENHILL,MAHER,LOGAN,SMITH,RYAN.

Bradford are not much better PAUL,VAIKONA,HAPE,VAINIKOLO,WITHERS,VAGANA AND GARTNER.

I listned to a recent interview with Richard Lewis on the radio were he was talking about the reduction of over seas players from 5 to 4 and then 3, he also stated that the residency rule was to be tightened up .

Does any body know the new ruling, when it will start from, will current players be exempt from the ruling?

Mat Crowther is english but i think that there are a couple of others you may have missed, i agree i think its a bit of a joke eg dual nationality etc. (Ainscough!) but hopefully it will get sorted and i can see a few teams having to cope like we have this season with a very inexperienced team. Hopefully it will all bode well for G.B. though.

Don't forget Michael Withers is really British! Wasn't David Waite ready to pick him for GB against the Aussies in 2001?

Also I think Robbie Paul's been here so long he's now considered British. But I agree it is a joke. I suppose when the quotas do come down, we (along with Leeds, where Mr Bell previously worked the same magic with the kids we're now seeing at Wigan) will be in a much better position that Bradford and Hull to cope - it'll serve them right for relying on overseas talent for too long.
