I have not read the previous messages on this thread, so please excuse me if I'm going over old ground.
As far as I can see, there is no way that we could hope to set up a new club (Why would we want to?).
Firstly: Would the Super League recognise us? Very Doubtful.
Secondly: Where would we play?
Thirdly: Has anyone got a few million to spare?
Forthly: We are not Man United. Get real, we are a minority sport and if we were to divide the RL fans in this town we would end up dead and buried.

And yet, RL is major game in the south-west France (which is the reason why the Perpignan team are being given a go, and the big difference between them and Paris), there's a league in Russia, international teams in Greece and Croatia... we have fans all over the world including such places as Latvia. Slowly but surely RL is becoming recognised around the world. I don't suppose any of these countries will get the game developed as well as in the UK and Aus, and that it will remain a minority sport compared to some others, but I fully support every effort to expand the game into new territories.

Technically, if a new wigan club was created then that would be fine. we already have thew warriors, st pats, st cuthberts, st judes... could have Wigan St Helens next, playing in Worsley Mesnes

Why ? what is the point we would only have to start in the lower divisions again. There is nothing wrong with our club other than the management whom I think should be changed immediately. Especially the Chairman. Any Chairman in industry would have resigned before now so why doesn't Maurice.

With all this talk of a new club, I'm wondering what happened to Ancient and Loyal? At least Manchester United fans had a decent reason for starting a new club. We don't, and even if we did, I'd support the club through good times and bad.

This was several months ago when a troll with nothing better to do were posting rubbish on here. As I've said elsewhere, people sometimes shouldn't take too much notice of some of this old stuff.
