Being a fan of Wigan sport I get really fed up with an elemant of our fans who are so anti the football.Can they not see some of the advantages of being linked with a Premiership soccer club.
For one look at the money side of it. Latics just sold Bullard for 2.5 million and announced they had made 23 million in tv rights and prize money. during the same period we announce a new signing. Does that not show that the money is allready finding its way to us or is it just a coincidence.

dosnt say any thing there about how much money the club as lost over the past year on paying wages ,sure the latics made a loss last year but if latics ahve made money can we spend it we need it

Probably just co-incidence. We've had access to Mr Whelan's loose change for years, the same as the Latics. The financial side of the two sports is very different, most of Latics' money will be reused for new players.

Lionmark I support both clubs but even now I suspect you are a Latics troll. Why? because that is what happens time and time again on these forums. The contributors here are proud Wiganers but they rightly have grown tired of stupid antics by trolls. The same people who got the official club forum shut down.

the school has got to the final i think is the all england schools final not sure which year

Mike, the only reason I can think we were selected is because Chris Joynt is an ex Fisher student. We do have a Y9 team in one final and the girls in Y7 and Y8 are in the final stages of their competition but it's the Y7 boys final that is held at Twickenham.

I cannot make my mind up (well I think yes) as to whether or not it was a bit of a downgrading of the challenge cup draw for it to be held on breakfast TV at 7.35 in the morning.

Brynteg in Wales probably deserve some publicity as they reached the Y7 final (won it) last year and now the Y8 final this year.

To be honest, I'm an ardent anti-Latic and proud of it... In my opinion, there's only one team in Wigan, which is why I call Latics "the football" instead of using their real name... I also will be glad when they finish bottom next year, and get back to the depths which they came from. I can't say I'm a fan of the "you're a wiganer, you should support both". RL is the town's sport and always will be... just ask people around the country... as it says in the song, deleted

The truth , whether anyone likes it or not , is that we have a shared Board and ground, not to mention the Owner !

St. Helens folk would drool at the chance of two top class clubs, this will never happen amd I'm bloody glad it's us and not them.

Let's take the money from Mr.Whelan, our day will come again and if Latics manage to stay in the top flight well good luck to them.

This pathetic bickering amongst the fans is doing nobody any favours.

I.W ; what a sad little man that you are.

I've just returned from Italy; where when talking to the locals on most nights they asked about the Latics when they discovered where I was from. Hardly a mention about the rugby. They could even name most of the Latics squad. Now that speaks volumes for the global exposure that Premiership football generally gets.

I bet your so narrow minded that you don't even praise rugby union !!!!!!!
