Dobson has nothing to lose by signing for Wigan and vice-versa as the form of Moran was shocking. However the pressure will be on Dobbo as he is here to do a job and not for cover.
Let's not forget that he is a 19 yr old 2nd grader and not the messiah!

Good point, DoD! Too many players have been seen as the solution to all our problems! People were saying earlier this season that we'd be OK as soon as <
insert player here> returned from injury.
Having said that, it's a real indictment of Moran when a 19 yr old 2nd grader is seen as such a massive improvement.

True but I don't think he will be under any great pressure at all.
Why? Because if he offers even only a slight imporvement over Moran he will be deemed to have been a success and that is not hard to do.
Granted we need more than a slight improvement in our half back play to get us out of the mire but I get the impression that by merely taking Moran's place he will have met the expectations of many (if he signs)

is he only an A teamer? why are they just panic buying all the time? everyone will be watching him now and he will play just an average game - nothing against him, but he wont be the answer.

Do you have any alternative suggestions?
There's no-one (apart from Scholesblue) on here who thinks Moran has done a good job. His efforts have been clear to see, and Friday showed that not starting with him doesn't improve his game either. We are a little bit stuck for options, and I'm happy to trust the club's judgement on this.

Ask Les Cats. He has played 12 first team games on the trot in SL and given we have only played what is it, 14(?) he has probably started (and finished) more first team games then either of our "recognised" half backs.

Who is? Andrew Johns?

All in all our interest in Dobson is in itself a damning indictment of our entire squad. Moran is poor but this squad - even accounting for injuries - should not be 5 points adrift. As a collection of individuals there are far better than this.

Only problem with signing Dibson is that it must only be a short term replacement. Bailey and Fletcher definently count on the quota and im guessing Barrett will as well, so were does that leave Dobson next season?
Back with Canberra Pie Eaters, They have already said they want to include him in there plans for next year, Who is this guy Dibson ?
