you can put it to when jack r****son took over, and got rid of people like greg, miles, panapa etc and signing poor replacements - but he did bring in inga, henry, martin hall...

but dont you think it was a group of legends all retiring around the same time? by the end of the 90's, all those players finnished their careers. they cant be replaced as legends dont come around that often. wigan and the wigan players happened to be in the right place at the right time.that kind of team comes around one in a lifetime...

OUR LUCK CHANGED WHEN LAM LEFT AND BROUGHT MORAN IN AT THE SAME TIME WE lost about 8 more players ,but the lam swap for moran was the major part no leadership no ball player  no pasion and no love of the club .Adrian you did us proud but the replacement you choose for us as let us down big time :doz:

It started to go completely tits up when Mike gregory sadly left, since then we seem to have panicked into signings and coaching changes.you could look further back but IMO the 10 game run in to the GF was the start of something special under MG. IF! he hadnt been so sadly struck down with illness we would have had stability and only a few players at a time leaving over the seasons and not so many from the first team and the lower ranks

I agree. MG managed to get a decent squad to play better than it was. When he left no 1 person has been able to inspire the players.

Why did we let so many players go... look at Luke Robinson, David Hodgson, lee Guilmore, paul johnson.. Even cassidy and o`connor had another couple of seasons left in them

Think it all of they above really.

The rot started when we refused to give Jim Sullivan improved terms as coach and he went to a lesser team over Billinge Lump and made them better than St Helens Recs! :(

worst decisions in last 10 years -

ERIC HUGHES LETTING SHAUN GO TO LONDON
SELLING SEAN LONG TO WIDNES
LETTING ROBBIE McCORMACK GO
NOT PLAYING LAM FOR ANOTHER SEASON

i know we can go into the bad signings over the last few years but i think these are the key moments.
