Just read on a Widnes board that there are rumours Widnes are after Gareth Raynor and Jamie Ainscough. If Raynor is available i would hope we would go in for him as well as i think he is a quality winger. He has not made much of an impact in kick and clap and is on a massive wage and with leicester looking to cut wages and bring in new personel for next year think he could well become available. A back 3 of Rads, Raynor and Briscoe/Johnson/Hodgson, with 2 quality centres inside them Vagana/Tahu/Gidley/Girdler (any 2 please!) would scare the opposition because of there combination of pace, power and skill. This would also leave us with 2 overseas spots for a stand off and forward. It would also more than make up for losing Carney if indeed he does cross to the dark side. Even if it is not with us i do hope that Raynor returns to our code as he is a joy to watch and a true exciting runner.

Vagana/Tahu/Gidley/Girdler ?

I've seen these names pop up a few times recently along with Mr Tallis....are they just a wish list or....?

Dont think these are a wish list think these guys are players who are available at the end of the Oz season & would potentially come to the U.K. next year if the money was right.Gidley and Girdler are no longer regular Oz players so wouldnt be giving up the Oz shirt, Vagana would still be available for selection to the N.Z. team and Tahu seems to have slipped from favour with the Oz selectors. Obviously 1 of these players would be a fine addition and with the overseas spots opening up and the wage £ we should have 2 of these guys would perhaps be an option.

a back 3 of Rads, Raynor, and Carney sounds even better now. Nice 1 Brian, terrific signing for the club.
