A Look at Wigan's current squad

Post by ancientnloyal »

Squad of 20:

Ashton
Richards
Radlinski
Dallas
Calderwood
Dobson
O'Loughlin
Fletcher
Orr
Feka
Logan
Fielden
Hock
Hansen
Higham
Godwin
Seuseu
McAvoy
Tickle
Hill

Coach: Brian Noble

I dont know about you but I'd say we have the 2nd best squad in Super League, arguably, behind (i hate to say) St Helens.

They are as good as they play, that makes them the worst in Super League

On paper i agree. Just a pitty they havn't played to their potential. But hopefully that will change on Friday night and the rest of the season.

i wouldnt go as far as saying this is the 2nd best team in super league but we have good players who are playing individualy and low on confidence. The fielden signing should bring confidence and he isnt the type of player who goes missing in games. Al we need is a good player who creates a bit more and who either breaks the line or supports well because thats all were missing

IMO anyway we have the 2nd best squad in super league if the players play to their potential and or even with more confidence, we could have beat a good Leeds side (even without McGuire) the other week but errors let us down around half-time.

Now with Kris back on the training field and dressing room, along with Stuart Fielden, confidence should in theory increase. If these players are playing well in the centre of the park, people like richards, vaeliki (if he plays) et al will up their game on the flanks.

thats my opinion anyways.

We said this at the beginning of the season though, we knew on paper we should have done alright but if they don't want to work for their coach like they didn't with Milly, and they don't wanna play together or can't play then it doesn't do us any good does it!

On paper, sure it looks great but when put on the field they get nervous and go light headed, are there to many one man wonders in our squad?
