Can we still make play-offs?

I know that relegation is our number one priority (or avoiding relegation*) and thats my #1 worry for Wigan this season: staying in SL... but there's been talk of Wigan getting to the play-offs during our 'Invincible 5-game streak' and one bookmaker put odds of 150/1 (and lower i think lately 40/1) of winning the grand final...
But after Warrington narrowly beating us, sadly, do you think we could still make the playoffs?
Salford are struggling at the moment it has to be said and IMO anyone from place 5-11 can get to the playoffs.
I dont think we can.

beat warrington- yes
but we didnt so i can only see superleague safety this season which i will be happy with because it has been tough. role on 2007

I agree; had we beaten Wire we'd have had a slight chance, but not now. Even if we won all 6 of our remaining games (which hardly seems likely, given that 3 of them are Leeds, Hull & Bradford), Salford would have to drop 7 points from theirs.
Wins against Catalans, Huddersfield & Quins should see us safe; that'll do for me. (can't see Wakey winning 4 from 6)

Funny that all we could say last year "role on 2006" think it's turning into a bit of an habit.

I also agree with Psycho, Geoff and wgnwrs. If we had beaten Wires, then there was still a chance. However, I think that with only 6 games to go we are a bit too far off 6th spot, even though it is mathematically possible. I will settle for safety and then look forward to next season. When, with a couple more signings and this great coach at the helm we should be guaranteed a top six finish, although I did say something similar this time last year.

3.IMO We dont deserve to be in there, not been consistent enough to warrant a place in the play offs
Although one could argue that the same is true for anyone below 4th place, with the way the clubs are now fairly close on points. Neither Salford nor Warrington have been very consistent either, and whoever gets those last two play-off slots will, I think, only just squeeze in there.

Would you say that Bradford have been consistent this season? IMO only the top 3 have shown good play during the season, eg Hull and Saints start to the season.
