I read forum members complaining that we have been deducted 2 point, why?
Rules are rules and we have broke them, I take my hat of to the powers that be for the first time ever for sticking to their rules.
If you have any complaints or want to vent you frustration then you are looking in the wrong direction, the problem lies closer to home believe me.

Who needs inside information to see who is really to blame.
No disrespect to blind people but as the saying goes not even a blind man couldn’t see who is to blame for the 2 points being deducted.

Can you blame them?? As far as im concerned if you're over by £1 or £80k you've breached the rules so why does the points deduction only apply 2 1 team when other teams just get a slapped wrist..

Irrelevant, he's right. The only people who have forced us to overspend are our club, not any outside force. The fact that 6 clubs broke the rules, and that some of them have been allowed to escape relatively freely despite repeated attempts at cheating the rules suggests that the salary cap rules need to be reviewed, but that does not excuse us going over the limit. As has been discussed elsewhere, there are suggestions we did not have enough income, that we've overpaid a relatively poor team, all kinds of other things, all of which point to mismanagement at the club. Nothing to do with the RFL, the timing of the decision or anything else. If all of this gets us relegated then we fans, and the players and coaching staff, have every right to complain. Losing on the pitch is one thing, losing because of bad management is something else entirely.

The reason for this is because the salary cap is not an exact science, certain matters can come into play and when you are dealing with such vast amounts of money to balance the books to the penny can be very hard or even impossible, that is why there is a very small leeway given.
We stepped past the leeway a little to much ending up with the 2 points being correctly deducted.

The only thing I'm mad about is the timing by the RFL, obviously, whatever situation Wigan was in during this season, the RFL would probably announce this salary cap thing at the same time... its life isnt it. I'm mad about that, but no problem with it. Its Wigan's fault for overspending, rules are rules, we overspent in 2005, we pay.

If you read the "official rules" thread I posted, you'll see there is a sliding scale of punishment relating to the amount by which the cap is exceeded. The RFL have stayed rigidly to their rules.
