Did anyone feel tonight that we looked far stronger and more together when higham was on, noticed in the second half of the first half when higham went off we seemed to drop off slightly. Dont get me wrong, godwin is a class player and he played well tonight but i just felt tonight we looked more together as a team and faster when higham was on. He just seems to speed up our play and i just think we stronger when he was on - any thoughts?
(p.s I do think the whole team did fantastic tonight and this is not a critism at all just an observation)

I thought they were all fantasic also, but Mickey Higham gets a big pat on the back from me. The amount of unsung work he did was phenomenal. :eusa2:

I think Godwin is more individual and darts very well. Higham guides the team better.

I must admit ive thought for a while that higham is a class hooker, earlier on in the season our forward were not making any space or giving us chance to break the line but since we have started playing i thought higham has just got better each week. Godwin is good but higham just gives us that something extra.
Another observation ive noticed is that in recent weeks when fletcher has been subbed and tickle has come on we seem lose a lot of shape and direction, i thought it worked a lot better tonight rotating our second rowers with hock, fletch and hansen.
p.s. pity those 2 points have gone as we could have made scared some teams in the play offs playing like this (before anyone starts i realise we still have work to do to get safe)

I have been saying all season Higham is a very good player for Wigan. For the first half of the season he was way ahead of the rest of the team in his thinking.
Stood out like a sore thumb that the rest of them were too slow and not up with his game.

I thought Fielden has played better games for Wigan this season... slightly hot-headed against Pe-Pe-Peacock and a few handling errors (2 I think). Overall he did his job, so did everyone else on the team, a few questions about the centres, McAvoy and Vaeliki... Senior made some good plays along the flanks and that was our weakest area IMO.
Forwards, middle of the park, we are ok, except for Leeds' second try, awful defending..
But I dont care...
We WON!
