Ricahrds had a great game last night again polishing off two tries, one of which was a great intercept full lengtther.

wish this guy would stay next year as i really beleive he is our best winger.

he was our top try scorer through the bad patch earlier on in the season and is a big strong fast winger.
i agree. i am one of the ones who has stuck by pat richards this year and even started my own little fan club at one point. i see some real genius in his play and last night he looked very committed. he was running forward and a few times he was gonig around the first man and making valuable yards. he was barely attacked on his wing and his full length try was very good. his chasing game was good last night. deffinately one to keep. with micky D leaving to then we need a kicker and lets be honest, tickle isnt gonna be here long. i disagree about best winger as i think calderwood is playing outstanding and is really building a good partnership with the much improved vaealiki. out of the 2, id want to stick by calderwood because it is dangerous to think what he can do with a world class centre (bailey) inside him. richards though, is one of the players i hope we do keep hold of.

Never mind the two tries good as they were, watch the game video and count how many times Richards was taking the Bulls kicks as a second full back, he worked hard all through the game, his professionalism and quality shone like a beacon.

his cofidence went down when he played in the centres
when he first played on the wing his confidence grew back it was great to see him against the bulls he looks like a good winger now

wHY do people have a go at Richards. He was played out of position by IM. He had 1 disaster game where he was really awful. By that i mean the team played ok but he was as bad as most were when most played under IM.

I can understand why we all have been having a go on DV. But as with Richards they are playing well now. Richards outplayed any back on Friday and DV was by far the best centre in the game.

To be fair to Vaeliki he has worked very very hard on his defence and it is showing now. On Friday night he made Vainakolo and Hape look average.

Sry if you think i was having a dig at DV for his recent games. But hes one of the highest paid players and until he came back fully fit hes not really shown anything of what he can do.

And as i said he was the best centre on display. And apart from Lyon, Hape is the next best in SL and DV made him look average.

Richards intercept try must be up for slowest break and chase in the Super League this year, Richards isn't quick but how slow is Iestyn Harris.

Winger v Stand off?

MMMMM

Whos gonna win that one.

Some just seems to have some sort of a phobia if they are foreign and have a bad few games they get slaughtered and some can never see past that.

Lets see Winger v Stand Off.........Richards vs Benji Marshall who would win that one, perhaps Richards v Danny McGuire :conf:

Richards maybe a Winger but thats mainly because his catching ability, he has never been a fast player but he makes up for that with a good hand off as was seen in the NRL grand final.
