Our best away attendance or showing?

Post by ancientnloyal »

I'd say a lot of them personally. Salford was cold, Bradford was foggy, Leigh pre-season was rainy (lol)... Quins 1st time was sweltering...

For sheer drama and tension, I'd say Leeds 2nd time when Sinfield hit the post with his final kick, was an awesome moment seeing all the Wigan fans spack out. Last time away at Quins... 2,000+ wiganers was awesome to see when you left the toilets (if you know what I mean... no comments please)

Basically I've been proud to travel away from home, even when we were odds on to go down and adrift I'd still want to travel home from uni then onwards to a late night at Wakefield.

Bring on next year! Would like to go to Whitehaven though, I like the west coast drive upto Sellafield.

We should play Whitehaven next year in a friendly as part of the deal that Wigan signed when Oliver Wilkes came to Wigan

Leigh away was quite good, although very wet!
The last Warrington away was alright, although abit of a shambles regarding tickets etc. But the atmosphere was good.

My best, would definatly be the last Quins away. True support - made me tingle all over.

I can't wait for next year now! :D

No... They have the ONLY sea cliffs in the West of England did you know, a few miles south of Whitehaven.

i only did 3 away games this year my personal worst
salford (cup), hull and warrington

1st good friday i've missed since 1997 before i supported them properly

never went to hull before this season we were hammered but fans turned out in force and humilated the hull support even tho after fridays match they can do that for themselves

Made the trip to every away game this year apart from catalans and have to say that the support was fantastic at every single one. I liked the atmosphere at the hudds game when it was Nobles first game. The atmosphere at the wire game was good considering the result and the wakey cup game stands out to me as being a good day! The game that was best by far has to be the 2nd Leeds game. The atmosphere was brilliant!!
