Wow ! A lot seems to have happened whilst I've been repping for club 18-30. Well i'm back now and I'm going to the footy tomorrow; courtesy of Dave's big offer. Suppose that this now permits football chat on our site. Wouldn't want to upset this new found friendship and enthusiasm.

Nope. If this was a genuine offer rather than trying to bolster the attendance for a game that the Latics fear will be their poorest attendance, having already expressed concerns already about lowish attendances this season. So no a blatant marketing ploy on behalf of the Latics is not going to induce me. Offer me a free ticket v Man U or liverpool then yes maybe. Insult my intelligence and throw Watford in my face NO THANKYOU.

I have already had to endure football matches this season involving Wigan and Watford. They were both abysmal to watch against other sides, but playing each other? Sounds like hell to me.

I've nothing against Latics: I wish them well. The reason I won't be going is the same reason I don't watch Golf, Fishing, synchronised swimming or tennis.

And, incidentally, why I don't want to discuss them on a Wigan RL message board. There is a connection in this one particular case, the free tickets, but otherwise irrelevant.

without sounding anti-rugby,the old saying ''engage brain before opening mouth'' springs to mind, what was our average gate last season?what was latics average gate last season?check i think you will find they had a higher average than us.And to add a little oil to the fire, what will the gate in OUR polay off match be?more than the saints? :(

Irrelevant, since he was talking about Latics (home)fans, not away fans (which make up the higher totals).
