i don`t know.. this is shocking news to me..
but if he has been forced out so that the can get ellery in then i will be very disapointed with the board..
& i sincerly hope we don`t 'SWAP' with cronulla.. that would be disasterous.. they arn`t even gonna make the play off in the nrl & i really don`t like the way they play football.

this is terrible news..

BUT.. if he is saying he WANTS to go home. then we have to respect that...
got a feeling he was being pushed though???
just my opinion.

I think the same as you Wolftown Warrior, I know they aren't going to advertise what's going on before it actually happens but the whole thing has a very fishy aroma to it for me. I was behind Mrs R going into the JJB one day when she was treated disgracefully and totally humiliated by the muppet on the door but this same guy didn't have the same problem when Billy Boston came along, talk about crawling. I'm not saying that BB shouldn't be treated like a God cos he should, he's a legend, but if that was a taste of how SR's family have been treated then no wonder he wants to go. Hope his successor is Sean MacRae personally though can't see it happening.

I think that we have lost an excellent coach here. I also agree it was a case of did he jump or was he pushed and the more realistic amongst us know what the Wigan Boardroom is like.
I understand we havn't had the best start this year, but in my opinion this was all building to next season seeing the comeback of Warriors as champs (not that I am writing off this season's chances).
Raper was doing so well, a likeable guy which is more than we can say for some of the muppets we've had in the past.
I am very disappointed with the short sighted view of people like Maurice on issues such as this.
As the years go on, you love the team more....but become even more dispondant with the board.
