In other words he maybe on trial at Wigan and he is free to train with who ever he wants because he is a free agent.
Usually I get word who is training and who is not because the players train at St John Rigby but they haven't started full training yet and are just working in the gym and perhaps some running at Heigh Hall if they do what they usually do.
Personally I can't see how signing a 30 year old is really going to help the team, ok I know that there are some player who are still quality at 30 and over but Millard is not one of those players.
Didn't Lindsey and Noble say that they were starting a four year plan or something like to develop the players at Wigan and have a squad that last more than one year. If Wigan do sign Millard or Withers I can't see how that is going to help Wigan in the short or long term.

Bringing in experienced players will help the development of the Academy players on the fringes of the first team. I very much doubt either Withers or Millard would be first choice players.

i dont think millard will be a bad signing, he has done well at leeds recently and has a lot of experience. I know maurice reported we were going to build for the future but he also mentioned how godwin has doubled his wages at Hull. Higham is still only mid 20's and i can see noble will have higham and millard working off the bench rotating each of them.

Withers will definitely make the starting 13 and Millard the 17 every week they are fit.

Exactly. They aren't signing to play in the U21's.
As to Millard being experienced, so was Godwin. Godwin has several SL seasons under his belt and is a proven SL standard player. To ship him out for Millard is one of the worst moves the club has mad ein recent years IMO.
If we follow this logic the club should not have tied Hock to the club until 2010 but replaced him with a more experienced 30 something as well.
