its shocking that huddersfield only have that amount of supporters when they have one of the best grounds in super league.
they really need to think about lowering there gate prices.

salford will get more fans for the new stadium because the williows is bad and is not in a good part of salford. the new stadium is near the moterway, near the trafford centre which is more accessable.
I bet it hasn't been more accessible this week! As a relative local to the Trafford Centre, I avoid it like the plague at this time of the year, gridlocked motorways and long traffic queues are not my idea of fun...

Infact, the Trafford Centre is only more accessible in terms of motorway access. The Barton site will be worse than the Willows for public transport since the trams stop a long way short of there, and there are no decent buses or any railways at all out to that part of the city. This might, infact, put off some of the local fans who might not be able to get to the new Salford ground as easily as they can the current one. It's important not to underestimate the advantages of being able to walk or easily get somewhere by public transport.

Somewhere around Barton, from what I remember. I think they were putting it somewhere near Barton airfield, on the opposite side of the motorway from the Trafford Centre.

You can never criticise a club moving to a modern new stadia. hopefully, it will improve attendances too given the greater feeling of safety and daily advertising.
have you ever been to salford ! i have worked in salford, people don`t talk rugby league, league is dying in manchester, but hey what the hell some french team gets big favours. great planning.
It is true that RL is dying in manchester however in Salford the game is still strong. Unfortunatly the location the willows is in does make it difficult for the club to generate increasing spectators. As far as i am concerned the move will be good for the club and the game but the location is a bit questionable.
