Yesterday was the perfect opportunity to increase our points difference and we blew it.
Yes, we did nil Halifax and this was good. However, their defence was terrible at times and we should have scored alot more points.
After Newton and Farrell were taken off that was it, no ideas came from anyone else.
It's all very well saying it was only Halifax, we were already winning by a decent margin.
Do they do that in Australia, No !!
If they did they wouldn't be playing the week after, and they certainly wouldn't get anywhere near a Green & Gold jersey.
It shouldn't matter whether we play Saints, Leeds, Wakefield or Halifax, the team should perform to their best for the full eighty minutes.
And the sooner we learn this, the sooner our game will improve and we may at least give the Aussies a fight in the test series.
However, now my rant is over. Craig Smith with yet another barnstorming performance. Smithy is certainly the best prop in Super League, no doubt.
That poor fullback, I bet he'll never attempt a headon tackle with Smithy again, OUCH ... that's gonna leave a mark !!!!
Finally, does anyone know why Mr Gregory did not attend the Players Player Award presentation after the game ... just asking.
