Bear are you still at school? Tell the music teacher you want to learn how to play the trumpet. They will get yiou a tutor and you will miss one lesson each week.

If you go through school, you can hire one dirt cheap. Wigan Metro have a centre at Hindley where school students can hire musical instruments from. I think the parpatetic music tutors are based there too and visit schools according to need.
