Unless he is going to play at prop then Wigan don't need Carney back. There is no doubt that when he plays his best he is one of the best wingers in the world but he only players to his best about 3 or 4 times a season, I'd prefer a winger who is more consistant, Richards and Calderwood are suitable wingers for Wigan both previous leading try scoreres in their league.

If Wigan do free up some salary cap I think it must go on prop forward, no disrespect to Prescott or O'Carroll but its tough for a young lad in Super League especially at prop and Wigan need some experianced cover.

Phil Clarke is the worst tipper in the world just looks like he wants to keep is reputation up.

Theory:

Vaealiki moves to Wakefield
Richards moves to centre
Carney (vawaliki's wage) moves to Wing

James Slevin
Ces Mountford
And the “kind of rugby player you’d want to be in your dreams” James Leytham
Should be in the Wigan Warriors Hall

Heard many rumours that he can be a trouble maker in the camp.
On his day he is a great finisher though.
My thoughts are that its better having a good brit in your team than an average aussie.
Can he kick goals?.
