I don't know about everyone else but i for one am very pleased that Quentin has signed for next year. He has made a pretty good start to his Wigan career and can only improve as he settles in. The way him and Craig Smith took apart the Bulls pack on Monday night was a joy to watch.
We now have 4 quality props for next year and his experience will only help further improve Danny Sculthorpe. With this news it also looks increasingly likely that Ricky will join Leigh permanently ( which is no great loss! )

I agree about it being a big mistake. Bibey is simply not good enough for the Wigan pack. He too often drops the ball and when he goes for a tackle he either cleans the player out or misses completely. IMO he should stay at Leigh permanently.

How old is Bibey?
How old is Pongia?
Props, so people tell me improve with age and only come good at about 30 or even older.
That is the justification for Pongia and Smith being at the club often used.
Bibey has had less than two seasons around the first team is as raw as anything but instead of wondering how this young player can be improved we want to ship him out to Leigh permanently rather than coach him.
A few weeks back the entire team was playing badly and Mike Greg seam to have turned that around remarkably.
If the club is serious about developing British and Wigan telent it needs to produce some props as well as backs and second row forwards. That may be harder to do given this idea it takes years for them to come into their own, but its not much of a recommendation for the coaching set-up if we ship out a player who is what, 21 or 22, for a 34 year old who has a year left at most.
After next season there is a good chance C Smith, Pongia and O'Connoer will be retired.
Where does that leave us?
