Can somebody please tell me why on earth Noble keeps giving a valuable bench spot to this waste of space?
As soon as Mickey Higham goes off we lose all our pace around the play the ball and the opposition have all the time in the world to defend against us.
Surely I'm not the only one who sees it this way.
Higham would have no problem playing 80 minutes, and for God sake put someone, anyone, on the bench that might actually be beneficial to the team when he is brought on.
You can almost hear the opposition breathe a sigh of relief when they see Millard come on the field.
Come on Nobby dump this waster!

:D I totally agree. I often think Millard is comparable to running a competition to allow a supporter to play. The worst part is he spots the gap but by the time he goes for it, the door has closed, been bolted. 2 year contract too :(

I'm not convinced by Millard either and he was awful at Widnes.

But I have noticed he's much better if our pack are going forward - which they weren't for most of the Widnes game. At Hull, he had a good game because we bossed them in the forwards. Higham's fast enough to make his own chances from dummy-half.

I don't think that you need to have pace to be a good hooker, but Millard can't even pass a ball properly. His passes to forwards are miss time which is making players like Fielden look bad and giving away the ball needlessly. Those passes he does that are not forward are often too high or too low for the players trying to catch them and it takes him ages to pass the ball from the play the ball.

With no pace and poor passing ability I can't see what Millard actually has to offer at the hooker position, I would play Mcllorum instead of Millard even if all Mcllorum does is pass the ball from acting half back it would still be an improvement.

Problem is, we couldn't even use Millard as water carrier - the players would have died of dehydration before he caught up to them to give them some water... :D

I don't think that you are alone in that opinion...

Even if we didn't keep Godwin we should have instead shown some faith in McIlorum and promoted him to reserve behind Higham.

Would have given a local lad a shot at playing for the first team.
