Re: Owen Farrell
Well let’s hope his ego doesn’t cause problems for us! We’ve been there before with Hastings! I completely disagree. The guy has no presence on social media and lives away from the media as much as he can. It's been highlighted before by ex players that it's part of the reason he gets so much abuse...

Re: SUPER LEAGUE is set to increase the number of marquee players instead of increasing the salary cap
It's interesting that IMG mostly ignored the academy in the grading criteria. Maybe new salary cap rulings on home grown players is a way to compensate for that. Big for Wigan, Saints, Leeds, and Catalan (given recent years)

Re: Luke Thompson
The Bulldogs are in danger of losing star Englishman Luke Thompson for next season. Thompson has been sorely missed by the club in the early rounds, sidelined with a serious foot injury suffered at training in February. But the 27-year-old remains a key figure at Belmore and is expected to be back o...

Field out for 8-10 weeks according to MP, with no operation needed.
Cust is being checked every week.

Re: Team for Saints
If Wardle's picks up a ban we're in a bad spot. No Field, Cust, or Marshall. Matty Peet's already said given the intensity of the game he'd look for rotation of fit players, instead of the introduction of fresh faces. From briefly watching Barrows game last week, Thornley didn't look 100% fit. And i...

Re: Warriors make £1.8m loss in 2021
Losses for the 2021 season: Wigan £1.79m vs Saints £1.69m
Losses for the 2020 season: Wigan £461k vs Saints £704k
For Wigan they class 30th Nov as year end vs Saints 31st Oct. So almost apples to apples comparison

Re: Small update on the rumours
I read that too, but it doesn't make much sense with Wardle, King and Thornley. Plus backup options of KPP, Bateman and Isa.

Re: “Surprise Signing”
My thoughts exactly. His skills fit 13 perfectly. Only question would be fitness.
If he did sign, he would be overpaid in relation to his on-field contribution. But off-field, his PR benefits would help to offset that. It would need to be a well thought-out signing IMO

Re: “Surprise Signing”
If Bateman was marquee, then surely he'll be replaced given the club were prepared to pay his wages for next season. Owen Farrell only makes sense post 2023 RWC. So maybe a prop? Luke Thompson, JWH, Tom Burgess?
