Re: Matty Nicholson
Exactly Josie. If he was this unmissable prospect like Sam Burgess, he'd be in the team every week & would have dominated the championship.

Re: Bevan French - STAYING
Trust me - I'm not the one who needs convincing on Halsall.
9 tries in 7 games for Newcastle this year from a strong running 6'2 outside back at the age of 20?
No idea why he doesn't start regularly for us if I'm completely honest.

Re: Matty Nicholson
If you read the press releases, the move becomes even odder. Wigan clearly disappointed in the player but Warrington aren't even planning on playing him this year stating that he'll come to first grade in 2023.

Re: Matty Nicholson
I thought he held his own against Huddersfield, he's clearly highly regarded, furthermore, Isa is pushing 34 and KPP is supposedly off down under? Thing is you need a balance of youth & experience to win titles -- hence why Batty, Faz & Smithies is perfect. Byrne 22, Havard 21, Partington 2...

Re: Matty Nicholson
Unless he's been promised a first team spot, I don't understand how anyone can see Warrington as a good place to progress at. There seems to be zero long term planning & the short term looks mediocre at best. I feel like the club handled him well considering he's an 18 year old -- regular champi...

Re: Bevan French - STAYING
In regards to Isa, I agree about the lack of interest in him. I assume it'd be a "mutually agreed" release if anything. In regards to Partington leaving either on loan or permanently, that has been reported to be happening for a while. I don't see why we would just add a forward into this ...

Re: Bevan French - STAYING
We're losing at least two centres from our 2022 wage list -- Hardaker & Bibby -- so, in theory, we should be signing like-for-like replacements with two of the three rumoured names in Gildart, Wardle & Leutele. I personally think we are somewhat set at every other position -- especially if ...

Re: Bevan French - STAYING
I really don't see us signing Leutele.
Logistical issues, as you said, with the quota but even the fact he's 32, has a slightly worrying injury history -- he said it was weight related -- & turned down a deal at Hudd makes me feel like "big" money spent might not be worth it.
