Re: Matchday Info: St Helens

Thanks for explaining that for me, it does seem a shame as 858 is quite a chunk of seats that can never be filled in this circumstance which at £26 per ticket is worth upto £22308

Re: Matchday Info: St Helens

Tense but great game to watch, also pleasing to hear that Martin Offiah is now working with the club. Although what has happened if in 2005 a sell out was 25004 and in 2023 a sell out crowd is 24275

Re: Late Tackle Rule Fiasco

I still need to rewatch the game to be sure, but my initial feeling is that wigan did well against what felt like a 13 v 14 match.

Hopefully we can build from this performance ready for next week

Re: Late Tackle Rule Fiasco

it does seem strange, of the 3 that were penalised, that they did not seem late, yet the amount of high tackles that seem to be ignored

Re: Referee for Friday

I struggle to determine which ref i believe is the best, certainly wasn't the ref last night.

interestingly id say the best ref is the ref that isn't really noticed, which could be a reason as to why when they have a good performance it isn't as obvious as a bad performance.

Re: Inside look at what RFL lawsuit could look like as 350 players take action

I dont understand why a waiver would reduce participation levels.

even based on my own experience, when i was a junior it was very clear what impact the game had, this was both union and league and this was 23 years ago.

this law suit seems in bad faith, i just hope it does not destroy the game

Re: Referee for Friday

After reflection and based on the stated rules, i would agree that scenario would be a red card,

Thankyou for the clarity albeit i still believe there needs to be a drive to improve the refereeing standards

Re: Referee for Friday

Fair enough regarding my hope of the IMG and raising of referee standards.

it would be fair based on the direct contact to the head being a red, but then this should be the case every time. the other reasons raised i would not like to see reds for, as this would seem like a sanitising of the game
