Re: 2024 line up
Thought the passport Kolpak rule was scrapt in 2019 sure someone knows more than me, if challenged I'm sure it would have been found illegal and we are not in the EU now from which Kolpac originated so it definitely would be? Pretty sure it's just 7 non fed trained players now we had 8 when TL was g...

Re: Stand Off
I think the standoff roles changed to them being another scrum half. Mostly with the emergence of split halves the full back as become the extra running link player as a 6 was. I can't see why we can't play Harry as a traditional scrum half and utilise both French and Jai outside him in that running...

Re: Byrne
Pretty sure Wanes commented was last pre season, not sure on this one re Byrne was alo g the lines of being the player he wanted to tap into most when he was asked on the legends interview. From what I gather still other signings on the way, so his game will need to step on. Players like Ellis, Dupr...

Pictures of Dupree down at Wigan training this morning with our training gear on doing the rounds on social media platforms says this is now just waiting an announcement.

Re: Kris Radlinski
Stuff I get told though not first hand re Rads is positive, is everything going to be happy campers all the time? no, could the odd thing be done better, with hindsight definitely. I'm looking forward with more positivity because some of the tedious time consuming stuff re the stadium, money wise an...

Re: What will Danson do for us?
Football doesn't need to own a ground but does need legal documentation re league fixtures taking precedence, league fixtures are fixed to a fashion where cup games have flexibility to a degree. I also imagine without looking at detail that requirements higher up the league is even tighter, again sh...

Re: Kris Radlinski
I’d be careful what we wish for when it comes to a change of leadership. KR can only work with the budget he’s given and he isn’t the only man who gets a say on the signings. The signs in regards retention and recruitment for next year look extremely positive. The connection between the club and th...

Re: What will Danson do for us?
Did the old owners get 100% of the stadium after admin sure that was mentioned so not sure if the council lost the 12%, rugby don't own any of it at this point legally and that's why the email was retracted. What was in it though has been discussed. The football club was bought with the stadium for ...

Re: Ian Lenagan to step down as Chairman and Shareholder
The marquee rule and home grown rule as changed slightly, though IL and Rads may have utilised that next year anyway. The only thing maybe the RU rule of nothing on cap year one may be used or is at least being looked through it's only what I have been told so just have to wait and see . That's all ...

Re: Ian Lenagan to step down as Chairman and Shareholder
It's both good and sad that it's all out in the open now but time goes on and IL will be remembered fondly by most Wigan fans. I think things will move along in a positive direction given a little time. The football stuff ripped up several scenario's in what may have happened off the field and I'm s...
