<t>It's not ideal to give it to Barrett, I agree, but I don't see any other option. You need someone who commands authority and one of the ways that can happen is if you are the best player. I just can't see anyone out there that the rest of the team will look to and think 'sh*t, I'd better put the ...

one problem, easily fixed
<t>OK, so we've got a load of problems but surely we can fix one of them: the captain.<br/> <br/> The main role of captain is to hold things together and be the coach on the field, particularly when the wheels are coming off. Leading from the front with your own play is one thing, but its not enough...

<r> <E>:D</E> Excellent point. 'Pride in the shirt' doesn't always mean being from the home town. In the glory days, the pride came from the honour of managing to get a place in the world's finest club team. You sort of reach a critical mass where everyone is so good that nobody wants to be the one ...

Re: RUGBY ON THE DOLE
<t>100% correct. It doesn't matter what the sport (or business) is, massive top-down control like the cap always leads to a poorer result in the end. <br/> <br/> Unfortunately RFL is run by people who would have been better running '70s trade unions. <br/> <br/> 'Level playing field' is a STUPID mot...

Hock (and others)
<t>They have to go. I don't care if you're Brett f**king Kenny once a month, if you make that many mistakes you're fundamentally a waste of space. <br/> <br/> The match today was lost by nothing more than stupid mistake after stupid mistake. <br/> <br/> We tolerate too much of this cr*p in our playe...

Re: Feka...
Not meant as a criticism of Feka, it's just that *especially* as we had to play him for longer, we shouldn't have been giving him flat ball and making him work from a standing start (which is more knackering than a charge).

Re: Feka...
Yeah but lets keep it simple and play to people's strengths. So what if the opposition knows what's coming ( a tank running straight at them at full speed ). They've still got to stop him and tie up 3 defenders in the process.

Feka...
...was taking (or being given) the ball too flat last night. Needs to be at or close to full speed when it lands in his hands. Hate to see him trying to jink about like a scrum half when he's taken the ball stood almost still.
