I would go with pie 8 er, as in the 1920`,it was a national disgrace to "EAT HUMBLE PIE!"Because thats what the press of the day called you WIGANERS for breaking the general strike and lining your own pockets for the sake of your nearest and dearest so if the cap fits[if you can get under it]wear it!

Wiganers were pie eaters because it was a coal mining town the general strike was started in Wigan it was several months before other towns joined in .The press was very right wing biased and the government with their help broke the strike thus the Humble pie bit. The miner's held the pie crust when at the pit face and ate the rest throwing the held part of crust away .We were pie eaters before the humble bit.

St helens is famous for ermmmmmmmmmmm hang on i will think of something in a minute




oh yes ,glass brittle and transparent.

oh yes and having a derby match with the pie eating most famous and biggest trophy winning rugby team in the world.
