thx Alex
I gather your supporters are called the pie army. why's that? English fans are soo much more vocal than we are...as in singing and chanting. How do you get a bunch of (sober) guys to sing in public.

Wigan is famous for Pies... goes back to a workers strike back in olden days where we were told to eat 'humble pie' by a southern c**t, so we did, so famous for Pies. We had the world pie eating championships held in wigan a few weeks ago... Pie army etc.. is us aye.
We are vocal because it warms us up on freezing cold nights in Salford and we like to publically strike down the town of St helens using our voices, also the county of Yorkshire makes us chant loud.

My Wigan jersey I bought on Ebay for 5 quid arrived today . Awesome . Mind you cost me 7 quid to get it out here. Looks a lot like the St George alternate strip. If I cop any flak at games I'll just say Trent sent it to me...
Things don't start in earnest here til early March...it'll be a looong wait.

...personally i think its played at the wrong time of year. Its one of the games that kick starts the season...when interest is slow.
Mind you I like the concept but there's got to be a bit more in it for the supporters. Imagine if the NRL subsidised the supporters to travel over for the game as part of the prize for winning the competition. That could work.
