If you'd spoken to me two years ago I hated Saints and I'd have done anything for them to lose. Since refereeing though I've mellowed out a lot, I've started to look at things a lot differently and I have this amazing ability at matches to remain calm when everyone else is going mental.

Mike's a kind fellow. I hope that one day I'll get to referee his lad's team. I've done Shevi' A team twice though Mike wasn't there.

Haha, so do I! I don't mind the heckling, it's like water off a ducks back now. Mike looked kind of worried yesterday that I came off the field smiling albeit saying "I don't think I'm on their Christmas card list anymore."
