Latest News on Barrett
Barrett’s injury is again no worse and no better. Again the backroom staff is very concerned once again saying he needs rest, the JJB are still considering what to do next there is a feeling at the JJB they really want him to play and may risk him but again are undecided and will decide later this week when an official announcement will be made as to his fitness.
Again it was confirmed to me that he did come to us with this injury and the weather and pitch conditions have done Barrett no favours

It was either here on rlfans that someone posted they spoke to Barrett before the HKR game and he himself said he could have played at a push. That does not sound like the talk of someone out for a month and I have no reason to disbelieve the poster who passed this on.Mean Dean posted:

I guess we will find out on Friday.

Barett isn't injured. he isn't 100% but he is dman close to it. all this talk of absence and worry is all bull, pure bull. he has been training and on tred mills for god sake and he has even said he could have played this week. noble has also said it's nothing to worry abotu and will feature this week. keep your pantie-hoes on.

A grade two calf tear is INJURED that info has come from the Wigan back room staff themselves so ask yourself was Barrett telling you that as an offical line to stop anyone moaning about it.
Re: Latest News on Barrett
Did anybody else see barrets picture in the programme on friday when he was handing his shirt oer to a women who'd won it. There was extremely heavy strapping on one of his shoulders.

Re: Latest News on Barrett
Barrett was back doing light running on Wednesday last week and by friday was progressing well, spent part of saturday and sunday with the physio continueing the running training and took part in a light training session with the squad yesterday.
He is not 100% and I'm not sure whether they are expecting him to play against Harlequins or not but the injury doesn't seem to be really seriuos.

Re: Latest News on Barrett
Barrett had a scan at Wigan infermary on his calf yesterday. The scan revealed NO tear, only minor tissue damage (overstretched muscle). Very close to being fully fit, and back in light training
