Are you lot watching the same game as all of the fans i talk to?O'Loughlin was ordinary at best he falls off a lot of one on ones has no real speed and no footwork and for his kicking game well lets not go there. Our best players by a country mile were Feka and Calderwood.
Feka, while he was on the pitch, yes, but I don't see how a player that was on for less than half the game can qualify.
Calderwood had a nightmare, especially in defence, but also in attack where he bombed two good chances. He was constantly caught out of position, not only for the two tries conceded on his wing but also against the kicks to his wing.
I agree totally re - Feka Geoff, it's the same every game, 25 - 35 minutes out of eighty is just not enough.
As for Calderwood, yes he bombed two fair chances in attack, but in defence I did have some sympathy with him because Ashton was never where he was supposed to be, and left Calderwood terribly exposed on more than one occasion, and it didn't take the HKR kicker long to notice that. There has been a fair bit of discussion on here recently about Ashton, but after his performance on friday I find it very difficult to defend him as I have done in the past.

To be a bit fairer to Ashton, he was also having to cover for Richards on the other side who was even more clueless and out of position. Both Richards and Calderwood were guilty of often failing to drop back to defend kicks on the last tackle, the fullback isn't supposed to the only one looking out for those.

That's my point exactly. The quickest fullback in the world can't cover the whole width of the pitch.
Neither winger could count to 5 tackles on Friday, it seemed to me, and both were found too far away from the touchlines when defending our line. Calderwood was out of position for their first two tries (although the pass for their first was a mile forward, admittedly), and both Richards and DV had disappeared for Dyer's try (not a Wigan player in that half of the pitch as the kick went up!).
Loughlin is a no body , a very ordinary player at the very best
Sorry OAM i agree with Flash when you say he is ano body and ordinary player.I am 60 year old next tuesday and have been watching Rugby League for 55 years and know a good player when i see one.
He has been the best player on the field for this season up to now
