Widnes

Post by cpwigan »

I believe we should use this match to freshen some players up and give youngsters first team experience. I would personally opt for

Ashton, Calderwood, Bailey, DV, Richards, Trent, Thomas, Fielden, Higham, Feka, Hock, Fletcher, Lockers SUBS O'Carrol, Hansen, Tomkins, McLlorum/Goulding.

I would even be tempted to play McLlorum from the start and give Mickey and Millard a rest.

Thta sounds Just Fine to Me. Blood your Youngsters and prepare to be Beaten.

Put out Your Proper Team and you could go to Wembley

No offence but Widnes are a very ordinary team these days. We can afford to blood a few youngsters particularly as reserves.

I'd be more tempted to rest Barrett for this one, to make sure he's fully fit for Saints, but keep the rest of the team more or less the same.

Flannagan does not deserve a call up. He has not been a form player for the U21s

If you Rest Too Many, You will be in for a Bit of a Shock.

Before you have a Go, I'm not a "Lets Hate Wigan Supporter". I value Wigan, and want to see them successful, Plus I have very Fond Memories of a Wigan Girl called Sharon....Circa 1989.

Widnes are Not an exceptional team by Super League standards, and in Dennis Moran, Toa Kohe Love , Mark Smith, Paul Noone, Bob Beswick, we have at least some presence

Team.
1 Gavin Dodd
2 Dean Gaskell or Andy Kirk
3 Mick Nanyn
4 Toa Kohe Love
5 Damian Blanch
6 Dennis Moran
7 Ian Webster
8 Aaron Summers
9 Mark Smith
10 Jordan James
11 Paul Noone
12 Oliver Wilkes
13 Bob Beswick

Now I would be confident of a Clear 40 point Wigan Margin on this One, - Yet if Wigan turn up with 5 or 6 Youngsters , then it will be Close
