got to sat richards ,why, because the amount of stick he as taken for the last 12 months or so and then to be able to get back to some form like he promised in the nrl ,you have to give him his due ,kicked his head of so far :eusa2: :eusa2:

Fielden. If Ashton carries on his current form, (If I am allowed to) I may change my mind.

Some of you lot have got very short memories. Until two weeks ago everyone was slating Richards for being a one-trick pony (and his one trick, kicking, wasn't exactly good at the start of the year!), there were calls for Ashton to be dropped before he signed for Northampton because he was all arrogance and no effort on the pitch, and Fielden had become the invisible man continuing on with the loss of form he showed for GB at the end of last year. All three players have had a lot of stick (mostly justified) for the first 4-5 games of the season, and yet here they are in people's "best player so far" lists! Also Feka, it's not too long ago people were complaining he was only on the pitch for 10 minutes each game!

Lockers, Barrett, DV and Mick Higham are really the only contenders. Lockers has been consistently leading from the front, although his captaincy hasn't really improved. Barrett is playing superbly for a guy that is hardly training. DV has come on leaps and bounds this year, finally, and Higham has just been carrying on the good work from last year. I might be tempted to add Prescott to the list as well, given how half the site were slating him before a pass was made this season but he's stepped up very very well and showing the promise that a few of us knew he would have if he stayed fit.
