My only concern is Barrett's injury being able to cope with 2 games in 5 days.
I may be in the minority here, but I'd prioritise the Saints game, which I now believe is winnable, and if Barret has to miss one, I'd prefer him to miss Widnes and be fully fit and rested for Good Friday. The only other changes I'd consider would be O'Carroll for Prescott, and maybe Tomkins for Hill.

I think we still send a really strong team because A) it is a cup tie and upsets happen and B) more importantly the key players must remain the same and bed in.

However, Withers we need to save and get fully fit. Prescott needs a break now and then and swapping him for O'Carrol is no great difference. Millard needs looking after given his age and Mickey may need a break after playing with an injury recently. Tomkins deserves an opportunity.

No offence but Widnes are a very ordinary team these days. We can afford to blood a few youngsters particularly as reserves.
Its a tough order for them, but Widnes do have the ammo capable of an upset. Take Hull KR last year against the Wire, no-one give them a chance. Widnes are now full time proffessionals. A team with alot of changes is not normally a successful team, and dont change what is going well.

I'd rest barrett and Calderwood cause of minor injuries.

i think that we should rest barrett for the game, bring o'carrol for presscott and tompkins for hanson, should also give Goulding a game as he is constantly in the 20 man squad.

I'm with you on this one Geoff. Apparently Barrett's injury is in great need of rest, so what better opportunity is there than this. Surely we should be able to get past a NL1 side without one player, no matter how good he is. If we are SO dependant on just one player it's a sorry state of affairs.

i dunno though its either rest barrett n see if his injury improves n play withers at his posistion or play barrett and have a better chance on winning the game but his injury might get worse :conf:

I think we should play a full strength side for the first half and that includes The King (Trent). We should then assess the situation at half time. I want to get to Wembley and I don't want any mistakes.
