3 match ban for a reckless high tackle and £300 fine.
Some things never change and one of those will be the consistency of the panel :conf:

I've only seen the hit on the big screen at the ground but I've been told he didn't miss. What's wrong with the ban?FROM A TO B posted:

I'm so glad he isn't playing for us any more, he'd have got 10 games again if he'd still been a Wigan player.FROM A TO B posted:

Re: Terry Newton
I'm not having a pop because he got a ban, more around inconsistency of the panel.
Surely there should be a set minimal punishment and then other factors could extend the ban or fine.
Regardless of whether intent or not, if players don't get punished for unecessary high shots then they'll keep getting away with it.
The only real excuse I can see for a high shot is if a player gets caught by either ducking into the tackle or if caught accidentally whilst going down (awaits the inuendo for that one) in a tackle.
I'm sure a few more bans and we would see a great deal less of the high shots being dished out :conf:

Re: Terry Newton
I see that Bradford are going to appeal against the 3 match ban.
We all know what happened last time Terry put an appeal in
